Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa Closed to New Applicants

On 7 March 2019, the UK Home Office announced that the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) rote will be closed by 28 March 2019. Applications to enter the scheme must be filed on or before 28 March 2019. 

Dependent Partner (Spouse) and  children under 18, can still apply to join applicants with Tier 1 Entrepreneur leave (Visa) in the UK. 

Applications for UK Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa extensions will remain open until 5 April 2023. 

Applications for UK settlement applications can be made up until 5 April, 2025. 

Lead to UK Citizenship

The Tier 1 Entrepreneur category is available to non-EU citizens who are investing in the United Kingdom by setting up, taking over, or being actively involved in the running of one or more businesses in the UK.

 The Entrepreneur visa is one of the fastest and most secure ways of gaining residency into the UK – in just ten weeks!

The applicant is not required to show business experience.

Eligibility

• applicant must have access to at least £200,000.
• be 16 or over
• money must be held in a regulated financial institution
• be able to support yourself during your stay in the UK
• prove your knowledge of Basic English

Accelerated route to ILR (Permanent Residency)

• apply to settle after 3 years if you create ten or more full-time jobs or a business income of £5 million or more

Procedure/Criteria

• applicant must show that they have access to at least £200,000
• money must be held in a regulated financial institution amounting to no less than GBP 200,000 .
• applicant must produce business plan and UK market research

Sharing Investment Funds

You can form an ‘entrepreneurial team’ with one other Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) applicant and share the same investment funds.

You and your team member must meet all the application requirements and:

• not use the same funds on another application with a different entrepreneurial team
• provide all the documents needed for evidence of the funds with your own applications
